The T20 World Cup Trophy will travel virtually
Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, the trophy of the upcoming T20 World Cup will go for a virtual tour this time. The matter has been confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the highest governing body of cricket.
The trophy usually is carried to the participating countries before the tournament starts. However, that is not possible this time because of the pandemic.
Last year's champion Carlos Brathwaite of the West Indies started the virtual tour of this year's T20 World Cup Trophy.
Note that the T20 World Cup will start in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 16.
